the third time is a charm…saint paul family photography

we cancelled and cancelled again…and ended up wit the most beautiful fall day.  i am so happy we were patient and waited for the perfect day.  sweet benny and claire :: i loved playing with you.  you are so adorable and both have the most lovable smiles.  it really is hard for me to believe that it has already been three years ago since i first photographed your tiny little peanut bodies all snuggled together on a blanket.:)  thank you, m family and thank you matt.:)

beautiful…saint paul family photography

i love this session and what i love most was the imperfectness of it all.  i mean that in the most positive, wonderful way.  it is so real, so unscripted, so natural and so beautiful.  nothing is posed…it is just a night in the field with a beautiful family loving one another and playing.  this is real life…a family how they really are.  i believe this is how photography should be.  remembering your family and the special moments of your family simply being a family.  the moments when your little ones were small enough to snuggle, pick up  and comfort.  you will look back and remember exactly how you felt at that very moment just by looking at the photo.  the schuster family has been long time clients of mine.  i adore them and have loved watching their family grow.  they truly have the most lovely relationship with one another…it is so fun to capture a few of their sweet family moments.  thank you joe, summer, max, otto and wren…you are very special to me. xoxo.

i am privileged to be able to photograph a few families in iowa every fall.  i LOVE my iowa families and look so forward to seeing them every year for our little session.  i have been photographing mr. thomas for 4 years now…he is too cute for words…i mean really too cute for words.  one of my challenges as a photographer is coming up with new and exciting  locations to take photos.  this year, i wanted to do something different for thomas. my parents’ home town of fort dodge, iowa has the most A-M-A-Z-I-N-G old abandoned building.  it is the perfect setting…unmatched character, train tracks and an organic grassy area all in one! my dream!  and, the best part is that thomas loves trains.  he always has and how fun to photograph him at the wee age of 4 standing on those massive tracks.  so, we did.  and, as you will see, the most wonderful surprise came choo chooooing along those tracks on our warm fall afternoon.  it really was meant to be…what a special little gift for this sweet little boy. thank you ann and chris….your family has the most beautiful bond.  i love photographing you.
