alexandra is one of my very favorite little girls and her family is one of my Very favorite families. :) she lives next door to my mom and dad in IA and so it is always so fun to see them. i am very envious of my parents because i wish the leiting family lived closer to us…

grant is one of my very sweet baby plan babies…he has been a joy to take photos for…always so happy, with the most wonderful, sweet temperament. he just turned one and did not stop moving for over an hour…ALL boy! it has been a pleasure getting to know his parents and grandparents as well…such a wonderful family. thank you for the opportunity jeff and crystal. grant is a very special little guy. :)

it was so fun to meet the very kind ihle family this past week-end…little miss grace just turned 6 months and sat so pretty for me. isn’t she delicious? and, miss peyton and mr. william were very busy playing, but took a little time out to let me get a few shots of them! we had to do some serious sweet talking to get a photo of all three kiddos, but the smell of hotdogs cooking and popcorn popping was all it took. :) thank you kari and justin…your children are darling.

she is sweet…perfect tiny toes and little nose. and, the little noises she made were wonderful. i love everything about newborn sessions. there really is not anything that can compare to the perfection of a new life. and, i cannot forget maeve’s adorable big brothers. they had so much love to give her. so sweet. they will always be there to watch over her. thank you, karen…it was so nice to meet you all.
a friend of mine sent me this you tube video last night. i love it…it is a simple message and beautiful and so so true.
and, you will have tears all over your cheeks. as my friend said…take 7 quiet minutes to listen to this…it is a good one.

yes, i know you want to squeeze them both. two little angels. otto was in dreamland for all of our shoot and max was the most well behaved “almost” two year old i have ever taken photos of. he listened and snuggled for minutes with his new baby brother. i am in love with the photo of max and otto…these little moments are very special. to the c. family: thank you for allowing me so much time with your family. it was so nice to meet you all. congratulations on your new little sweet pea.
oh, and a little side note on the last two photos. we ended our photo shoot at a local boutique in the adorable linden hills neighborhood of minneapolis. Thank you for so beautifully capturing a few fleeting moments from our first week as a family of four. You are so talented it's going to take a lot of restraint to keep from calling you every couple weeks to shoot photos of Max & Otto!

remember this sweet pea? beautiful marlowe paige. she is 6 months now and ever so sweet. she had so many adorable faces to give me. little m. was not really into sitting on the day of her photos… most 6 month-ers just want to plop down and sit. miss marlowe really just wanted to stand up and had lock leg in her chubby, yummy legs. :) it took some real effort on her sweet mommy’s part to get those legs to loosen up and sit. she sure made me laugh. thanks, lisa…she is adorable. it was so fun to see you again.

ahhhhh a new year is here again. it does not quite seem possible to me! i always love the beginning of a new year…a fresh start to everything. i am very excited to be back to work after some nice time off! i spent lots of time snuggling with my family, catching up on my favorite tv shows and going to bed early…something that is unheard of during the busy fall/holiday photography season.
today it is raining (yes raining), cold and dark here in MN and after two cancelled shoots today due to bad lighting, i have officially decided that i REALLY want an all window, natural light studio! :) :) i will keep dreaming because it would be so wonderful!
in the next few weeks, you will see some big changes to my blog and branding! jane johnson, who is wonderful i might add, has been working on my new branding for awhile now. we are getting close and i love every bit of it!
earlier this month, i was one of 13 very lucky photographers who attended a two-day newborn workshop. it truly was an wonderful opportunity! i left feeling overwhelmed with valuable information…what a great feeling! we were able to learn on 8 brand new, teeny, perfect little ones. here are a few of my favorites…baby fever city. 
wheweee! i am back from some wonderful, much needed time off! i am excited to be working again! what a wonderful session to start my 2010! these adorable little girls made my morning. they were both perfectly sweet…i loved my time with them and their mom too! :) as you will see, these girls are edible…i really could not get enough of the eyes and curls and lips. :) thank you to the parish family and congratulations to you all on your very exciting news!

I have to tell you that I'm teared up too! Those girls are beautiful and you captured their beauty and innocence perfectly! I'm having twins in March and I have a feeling we'll be getting a hold of you to take pictures of our children :)
