i woke up this morning to fun email in my inbox…i entered a little photo contest last week on one of my favorite blogs (all things baby).  this blog was created by the very talented, shellie of this N that photography and is filled with wonderful things for all of us newborn photographers.  i entered the contest to win a cute newborn hat because i do love my hats. i was so excited to see that my photo {#4} was chosen as one of 14 finalists.  what an honor for me and these beautiful, little twin girls.  go take a peek at ALL of the adorable photos submitted and if you wish to vote i think melanie and madison are the very sweetest {#4}  :)  :)

ahhhhh a new year is here again.  it does not quite seem possible to me!  i always love the beginning of a new year…a fresh start to everything. i am very excited to be back to work after some nice time off!  i spent lots of time snuggling with my family, catching up on my favorite tv shows and going to bed early…something that is unheard of during the busy fall/holiday photography season.

today it is raining (yes raining), cold and dark here in MN and after two cancelled shoots today due to bad lighting, i have officially decided that i REALLY want an all window, natural light studio!  :)  :)  i will keep dreaming because it would be so wonderful!

in the next few weeks, you will see some big changes to my blog and branding!  jane johnson, who is wonderful i might add, has been working on my new branding for awhile now.  we are getting close and i love every bit of it!

earlier this month, i was one of 13 very lucky photographers who attended a two-day newborn workshop.  it truly was an wonderful opportunity!  i left feeling overwhelmed with valuable information…what a great feeling!  we were able to learn on 8 brand new, teeny, perfect little ones.  here are a few of my favorites…baby fever city.
