happy 2012…

is it really 2012? my oh my has time gotten away from me!:) the holidays were wonderful…they flew by in the blink of an eye. and, then my sweet baby girl turned 6 right after Christmas. i am still trying to convince myself that she was just born a year ago. i am back to work, but just a bit behind on my blogging. i am happy to be back in action and excited for the year that lies ahead of me! with that said, i will let you take a peek at the the sweetest baby girl, miss ellie. i have had the pleasure of watching her grow over the last year. what a beauty she is. she celebrated her first birthday in december and i think she seemed to enjoy it. i hope you have many, many happy birthdays to come ellie. xoxo.

and, then i introduce to you the adorable latham…what a peach he is. the biggest smile and the most beautiful heart warming brown eyes. his parents are just as lovely and i really loved spending the morning with them a couple of weeks ago. like ellie, latham just celebrated his first birthday as well. happy birthday to you, sweet latham. and, thank you for the sweet hug when i left you. mmmmmm…sweetness.

oh my am i behind on my blogging…so lucky you…a mack daddy blog post. beware : : adorable children below.:) first up is miss julia. doesn’t she melt your heart? i was fully entertained by this little sweetheart…can i say hilarious? and, cute in every way. i have photographed her since she was just days old and i love seeing her beautiful brown eyes every now and again…thank you katie and adam. i love spending time with your family.

and then we have sweet ben and claire…a set of adorable cuties. i have not seen them since they were days old and wow have they changed. faces full of personality and beautiful smiles. their interaction with one another was priceless and so fun to capture with the camera. thank you anne and ron…it was so fun to see you four again!

and, last but not least miss ruby jane (and, her lovely big sister signe)…ruby has been welcome into the most wonderful family. i have had the pleasure of photographing signe since she was itty bitty…and, now she is a big sister. ruby was a sleeping beauty for her photos and i loved my time with her sweet self. congratulations anderson family…your girls are beautiful.

that’s what wren is made of… you are a beautiful little love…i am happy that your family has a little girl to swoon over. i am sure they cannot stop looking at your sweet self because you are perfection. i sure had fun taking photos of you…what a wonderful family you have been welcomed into. your big brothers will protect you forever and ever…i love that. congratulations to you all…i cannot imagine looking at your family now without her. thank you summer and joe for letting me photograph your sweet princess in her first days of life.

anna contacted me well over a year ago to inquire about a photography session for their baby that would be coming home from columbia. i was thrilled they would consider me this far in advance for their sweet baby that was not yet born…i could hear the excitement in anna’s email words and as i read i wanted to jump through the computer screen and hug her with my excitement for her and brandon. they patiently waited and waited and received word on july 1, 2011 that their sweet daniela was awaiting her mom and dad’s arms to be swept into…it was a joy to photograph this perfect little angel recently. sweet daniela, i am so happy you are home safe and sound and in the loving arms of your mom and dad…what a beautiful family you are.

the metz family is a long time client of mine…sara, who is the mom of this wonderful family is someone i admire so much. she always walks with a calmness that just eases those around her. she has become a dear friend to me and i am always in envy when i go into her family’s home. she has photos of her sweet family everywhere you turn. she always has a plan in mind of what she wants to do with her memories…i wish some of her creative juices would rub off on me in my own home.:) i actually just took photos of this family a few weeks ago. but, for this shoot, sara wanted a completely non staged session. just life as it is. so, that is what we did…i snapped away without telling her family to look at me. it is a joy to watch families interact, being themselves and love each other like i was not even there. here are a few of my favorites…

thomas…each year you get cuter and i am not sure how that could be possible because you are already as cute as can be. you are growing so big and full of adorable personality. your smile makes those around you smile too.:) and, who would have thought that mom and dad pretending to cry would make you laugh so so hard. i am going to have to try that little trick in some of my upcoming shoots. ha! thank you, ann and chris…it is always so wonderful to see your loving family.
