i am in love with this first image…i think it reflects kellen so perfectly.  such a darling little guy.  i met him well over a year ago and he has gone from baby to little boy way too quickly.  his blue eyes sparkle with wonder and his new little hair ringlets caught the light so perfectly.  :)  as you know, i love little people feetsies so much so couldn’t resist showing how kellen was playing with his.  carrie and matt, i have loved getting to know you over the last year…i always looked so forward to our photo sessions!

oh my was he sweet…and, i just loved how he always wanted his arms above his head.  i am thinking that he must have slept like this in his mommies tummy a lot.  :)  big brother wesley decided at the end of the shoot that he would warm up to his baby brother.  i was so happy to catch a special little moment of him with calvin.  it was nice to meet you sean and marie…you have two very cute little guys to love.  :)

last week-end i traveled to napa valley, ca to attend a photography retreat with other photographers from around the country.  napcp  (national association of professional child photographers) is an association that i feel so lucky to be a part of.  it was  wonderful time.  i left feeling relaxed, inspired and so blessed to be part of an industry that is filled with so many wonderful individuals.  it is so great to go to a retreat and not only learn, but leave with many new friendships (old and new) which will last forever.  while we were there, we had the opportunity to take photos of what i think were some of the most beautiful children.  i know their parents will never read this post, but i could not get over how sweet and polite these children were. i met such lovely children and families and it only reaffirms why i love my job so much.  i have to admit, i am a bit envious of all you napa photographers who have scenery like you will see below, which you get to use to photograph.  (whine and sigh…)  :)  here are a few of my favorites.

it was a beautiful, very windy, summer morning at grandma and grandpa’s lake home…sweet julia was a such a good baby girl with the wind practically pushing her on her side.  :)  from the lake, we decided we would test our luck a bit more and we took a few more photos at julia’s house.  she was soooooo good and by the end of our shoot, she wanted to fall asleep in the basket we put her in.  thank you adam for being a trooper with all of the ladies’ crazy ideas!  :)  i loved spending the morning with you all…

this perfect little bundle is the baby boy of my dear, dear friend…he came to visit me for photos a few weeks ago.  i loved meeting him, holding him and snuggling with him during our photo shoot.  baby vinny decided to come into the world over a month early.  when i photographed him, he as almost a month old and still was so teeny tiny.  mmm..mmm..mmm…little love.  renee and larry, so happy for you.  vinny is a perfect mix of you both and with a mommy like his, he will be filled with more sweetness than a whole house full of chocolate pie.  hugs.  more photos to come soon.
