this sweet, little mimi bird hopped into my life a few years back. when my little girl started talking, she called everything "mimi." she chirped "mimi" all the time. and, from that time on, we called her our little mimi bird. during this time, i was at a local boutique and stumbled upon the most fitting little piece of art. on the picture was a very sweet, chunky, little bird and the title was "mimi bird." i of course had to have it...it seemed as if it was made for us and still hangs in our home today. my very own little mimi bird, grace, who is my older baby, is the one who made me fall in love with the camera. and, it is this little bird that will be a constant reminder of the inspiration that makes me so very happy when taking photographs.
these sweet little girls kept me on my toes. :) they were full of energy and loved playing. it is always so fun to meet new little friends and experience their unique and adorable personalities. thank you, ann for the opportunity and a fun morning with your girls. :)
how could it be that little elle is 6 months? have i said lately that i love watching these little ones grow? she was an angel throughout our session and gave me a lot of adorable faces to photograph. notice the portraits on the wall in the photo with elle on her dresser. :) it brings a smile to my face every time i go to a clients home and see my work framed so beautifully on their walls. i love this. elle, you are a little princess and i look forward to seeing you again in a few months. k and b, THANK YOU! i loved my time with you and i am so glad i talked you into a few family shots. :) they are adorable. more to come soon!
this was an extra special shoot for me…my good friend gwen, who you will see in these photos, took photos of my family earlier this fall. she is also a photographer in the twin cities and a wonderful one i might add. we decided this summer that it would be so wonderful to do a little photo shoot swap. you would think that because we are photographers that we would have never ending supplies of photos of our children and families. but, it is so hard mainly to “be in” any photos with our families. so, this was my chance to allow gwen to leave her camera behind and allow her to be a mom and wife and not the photographer. her family is so loving and sweet and we had so much fun. i enjoyed every moment of our time together. our day ended with little “b” presenting me with the most beautiful picture that she colored for me. it made my afternoon…what a sweetheart. when you see her, she will melt your heart. and, if you have a minute check out the photos gwen took of my family.

i cannot say thanks enough for giving me the lasting memories she gave us in these photographs… thanks, gwen and mike…your family is just lovely. a lot more photos to come.
sweet signe rose is already 6 months and sitting with such perfect posture. :) according to her mommy, she has just learned to sit up…she looks like she had been doing it for months! i love the expressions of this age. they are priceless. the toe eating and the rolls…these are the times we love so much and don’t want to forget! i hope you enjoy meg and chris. :) lots more to come.
