this is it…this is the kind of day we who live in MN have been longing for.  it was chilly, but the sun was shining and the leaves were falling…it was a beautiful fall day.  and, lucky me because i had the opportunity to photograph the very adorable ceci, finn and gus on this lovely fall morning.   you have seen these three recently on my blog…we took photos this past august.  mom and dad wanted some additional fall photos so here they are.  the last photo totally cracks me up…all ceci and finn care about is getting their hands on that yummy apple slice that gus is holding.  chris and teresa, it was great to see you again.  i am so glad we moved our shoot!!!  :)

i have been photographing this little love muffin since he was a teeny baby and not only do i love seeing him, i love catching up with his sweet parents every time we get together.  it is always a joy jens and jill.  your family is just so lovely.  thank you so much…

these beautiful little girls are very special to me…they live right next door to my parents in IA and are just simply the most wonderful family.  michaela is turning 4 soon and little miss alex is just three months.  i cannot believe how fast the time goes by…i feel like i just took her newborn photos.  she has already changed so much.  pat and jen, i LOVE taking photos of your very sweet family…thank you.  can’t wait to see you again when we are home.

i have a few very special clients in fort dodge, iowa…this is where i grew up and where my parents still live.  i love taking photos for this little guy.  the curls and eyes are…well, the cutest.  :) i didn’t think our shoot was going to happen because thomas was very sick last week with pneumonia. can you believe the smiles on his little face?  he is definitely feeling much better and i am so thankful for that. little thomas, you continue to melt my heart…thank you to mom and dad for allowing me to take photos of you!  :)  so nice to see you again, chris and ann…it is always a pleasure.

this is the darling little owen who is almost three.  i saw owen last fall on a perfect fall day…it was warm, sunny and there were fall colors everywhere.  owen was so obviously an incredibly happy little boy…his smiles were infectious.  our fall session this year was a lot different…cold, cold, COLD and snow everywhere.  yes, snow.  but, one thing was the same…there was a very sweet little boy full of smiles and he made the very cold day feel much warmer. these children warm my heart.  owen was sooooo cold as we braved the outdoors, but he still so happy and so full smiles.  brett & mike…thank you…it was great to see you again.  even with the cold,  it was such a fun session with your family…

and, on a side note…thank you to my clients for being so patient and kind with me having to reschedule so many photo shoots!  this is some VERY CRAZY MN weather!  it is only mid october and 30’s and snow?!  it is making taking our outdoor fall photos very challenging!  :).  i am working hard to get everyone rescheduled and i am keeping my fingers crossed that warmer fall days are ahead!
