this sweet, little mimi bird hopped into my life a few years back. when my little girl started talking, she called everything "mimi." she chirped "mimi" all the time. and, from that time on, we called her our little mimi bird. during this time, i was at a local boutique and stumbled upon the most fitting little piece of art. on the picture was a very sweet, chunky, little bird and the title was "mimi bird." i of course had to have it...it seemed as if it was made for us and still hangs in our home today. my very own little mimi bird, grace, who is my older baby, is the one who made me fall in love with the camera. and, it is this little bird that will be a constant reminder of the inspiration that makes me so very happy when taking photographs.

we spent last saturday afternoon and evening with great friends…it was so fun and with eight little ones, there were not too many dull moments.  it is so nice when you can go quite a long time without seeing friends and then you get together and it is like no time has passed…this is the best kind of  friendship.  :) thanks for a great saturday my sweet friends…i miss seeing you all and wish we all lived closer…and now here are a few photos from our fun day… bdagmkejLhfc

little schiko and kenji are 5 month old twins…simply sweet!  i admire all parents of twins.  not an easy job, but these parents made it look easy.  the babies were both PERFECT little ones while taking photos.  you will see they are modeling the wonderful mooncakes clothing line. www.moon-cakes.com.  love it! the twins had wonderful parents who were so kind and welcoming to me.  i have the most wonderful clients on earth…really.  thank you steve and keiko!  it was so nice to meet you and the twins!

well, it is mid july and we have had some very odd weather here in MN…normally it would be quite warm at this time of year, but the morning of this shoot was a very chilly 60 degrees and very windy….burrr…these three adorable little ones were little troopers and were so sweet and so well behaved. you will love seeing their amazing eyes!!  just beautiful! i had so much fun playing with them and also meeting their mom.  three little ones under the age of 4!!  i think you are amazing, kelly!  :)  it was so fun to meet you all and i hope to see you all again!iacfhbg

my oh my…isn’t she sweet?  little marlowe is only 14 days old.  just perfect is what she is…i would like to thank all of these wonderful newborn parents for “always” giving me the most horrible baby fever.  :)  marlowe did not want to miss out on her photo shoot.  her eyes were so bright and big for about two hours. it took her a long, long time to go to sleep, but she finally decided to go into dreamland and i think she was enjoying it as she allowed us to take many sweet photos of her.  her mommy was so patient and such a great mom and i enjoyed chatting with her so much.  lisa, it was so nice to meet you and i am happy that i get to see marlowe grow.

meet ava, owen and ty…they are cousins and adorable.  ava and owen live in eau claire, wisconsin and they came to visit tyler.  :)  little owen was on the move, but we managed to catch a few sweet little moments with him sitting still.  little ava was so darling with her little cousin, tyler.  she could not stop hugging him and kissing him and telling him secrets.  very sweet…erin, thank you for making the trip…it was so nice to see you and the kids.  and, miss maria…seeing you and ty twice in a week was great!  :)
